Description
Led by Dr Bettina Karsten, this 1-day course teaches anybody interested in exercise rehabilitation about the specific principles of a planned and systematic rehabilitation process. When is it time to start exercising? What is allowed? What is too much or too little? How often should we exercise? Starting with an overall functional assessment, the development of a rehabilitation plan requires a fundamental understanding of exercise, training and human physiology/anatomy. Type and dose of specific exercises will then be used to optimise the repair of different tissues. Relevant rehabilitation principles apply to everybody – independent of age and condition.
You will gain a remarkable and novel understanding about the human body and about progressive exercises. Be prepared! Real exercise rehabilitation is ‘tough’ and goes far beyond commonly applied exercise prescriptions. This 1-day course provides you with a fantastic foundation to come to the three themed masterclasses – knee and hip, shoulder and neck and hip and lower back.
A unique opportunity for anybody interested in advanced rehabilitation techniques, learn about novel methods of structured and progressive exercise therapy.
With cutting-edge research incorporating muscle physiology, functional anatomy and tissue repair, learn to develop tailored exercise rehabilitation plans.
This fantastic course is relevant to anyone with a background in bodywork or personal training.
Pre-requisite: A high interest in exercise rehabilitation and the readiness to learn mind-blowing new approaches to return patients back to full function.
