I qualified as a Sports Massage Therapist in 2010 and am a Member of The Sports Massage Association and Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council I am based in Park Gate in Hampshire.
I work with a wide variety of clients including treating chronic pain, postural issues, injuries or for maintenance.
I can treat conditions and reduce pain and discomfort for individuals suffering from chronic neck, shoulder and back pain, sciatica, headaches and migraines, carpal tunnel syndrome, golfer's and tennis elbow, ankle and foot pain and many other conditions.
After carrying out a full assessment including orthopaedic testing, a wide variety of techniques are then used which are tailored to your individual requirements These can include heat (hot stones), myofascial release, trigger point therapy, stretching and self help techniques to help reduce pain and increase function. I work using the biopsychosocial model which looks at the interconnection between the body and the pain in tissues; other likely stressors you may be dealing with and your social environment as the three are usually linked and need to be dealt with together.
