Having been a professional dancer for many years, the last being Rambert Dance Company, Sam has a wealth of experience in high level training and therefore a unique understanding of the body and movement. She has always been interested in bodywork and took a Swedish Massage/Anatomy and Physiology qualification in 1996 with The Massage Training Institute (MTI), whilst still pursuing her career as a dancer.
Sam went on to retrain into Personal Training/Sports Massage in 2003 and then developing a real fascination with the body went on to learn advanced techniques in Soft Tissue Therapy with The School of Sports Massage (NLSSM) BTEC Level 5, Myofascial Release UK (Ruth Duncan) Levels 1,2 & 3 and has now been re-inspired and invigorated by various courses with Jing!
Sam has worked alongside Chiropractors, Osteopaths in clinic and was part of the medical team at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. She now runs her own private practice ‘The Massage Base”.
