My name is Jo Griffin and my business is Bodhi Therapies, based in Ipswich Suffolk. I am a Jing Method™ Advanced Clinical Massage Therapist and I am qualified to treat a range of chronic musculoskeletal pain conditions including low back pain, neck pain, headaches whiplash, RSI fibromyalgia and many other on-going injury or pain conditions.
As an Advanced Clinical Massage Therapist, I am trained in a range of safe and effective soft tissue and massage techniques that aim to reduce your pain and increase your movement within 1-6 clinical treatments. The techniques I use include fascial work, trigger point therapy, acupressure, stretching and tailored self-care.
I use a warm and heart-centred approach that takes full account of all your physical and emotional needs and am committed to working alongside you to get the results you need.
My passion has always been to help people physically, emotionally or mentally. And as a former Qualified Nurse, that never left me.
During a career change in 2001, I studied at a local college and qualified in Swedish massage, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and Aromatherapy over a 4 year period. I late studied Reiki 2 and first year in Counselling.
In 2015 I went back to my passion and became a self-employed Holistic Therapist, having a treatment room at home for my individual clients, working in Nursing Homes in Suffolk, Special Needs School here in Ipswich and Corporate companies. I have always loved Eastern techniques in mental & physical health and found a school that used both East & West techniques in Massage at Jing Institute in Brighton where I completed my training in Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy.
