Jemma is a Jing Method Clinical Massage Therapist who specialises in outcome based massage, using bespoke treatment plans for people in persistent pain.
Jemma is a teacher and programme coordinator of the BTEC level 6 at the Jing Institute of Massage and Complimentary Medicine.
She has been a therapist since 2011 and after initially training in Swedish and Sports massage, she found Jing and enrolled on their three year, degree level course – BTEC Level 6 Professional Diploma in Advance Clinical and Sports Massage (highest level of training available in the UK) for which she earned a distinction.
She uses a fusion of hands on techniques, including deep tissue massage; trigger point therapy; myofascial release; and sports stretching, along side functional exercises and education to help facilitate her clients own healing.
She believes in the Eastern medical approach of treating people and not symptoms, while at the same time keeping up to date with the latest scientific research into massage and pain.
