After successfully completing the ACMT (year one of the BTEC level 6), you will be able to:
• Use the title ‘Jing Method™ Advanced Clinical Massage Therapist’
• Have your professional therapist profile added to The Jing Method™ Therapist Directory
• Elevate your massage practice to enable you to specialise in working with clients in acute and chronic pain
• Learn the best-advanced bodywork techniques from both East and West including trigger point, fascial work, acupressure, and stretching with a truly holistic approach based on the biopsychosocial model of pain and modern neuroscience
• Be confident in your consultation and your ROM assessment procedure
• Provide a unique outcome-based system for addressing chronic musculoskeletal pain through a tried and tested fusion of advanced soft tissue and massage techniques
• Work with clients with most types of chronic musculoskeletal pain including back pain, sciatica, neck pain, whiplash, migraines, frozen shoulder, sports injuries, knee pain, ligament and tendon issues.
• Work with clients with systemic conditions like fibromyalgia, myofascial pain syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, plantar fasciitis, and long covid
• Deliver The Jing Method™ Experience to your clients
• Be classed as a health care provider and able to treat clients who have a justified clinical need during national lockdowns
• Confidently communicate with other health care professionals such as osteopaths, chiropractors, physiotherapists, midwives and GPs
• Join a Professional Organisation – The Complementary Health Professionals (CHP) if you want to specialise in treating pain and/or The Sports Massage Association (SMA) if you want to work with athletes
• Be on the massage register for the CNHC (Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council – voluntary regulatory body)
• Continue on to years 2 and 3 of BTEC level 6 in Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage (vocational degree level) externally accredited by Pearson (Edexcel)
