Soft Tissue Release (STR) is a dynamic, highly effective technique that has an immediate and powerful effect on muscle tissue. A well-known sports massage technique, Soft Tissue Release is an excellent skill to add to your bodywork repertoire. Effective for treating and preventing musculo-skeletal injury and pain, soft tissue release breaks down adhesions through a combination of muscle stripping and stretch and can easily be incorporated into your current work.

Orthopaedic Assessment for Massage Therapists. 4 Days. £395 +VAT

Being able to accurately assess the cause of musculo skeletal and soft tissue pain is a must for any serious massage therapist. Whether you are doing relaxation massage, sports massage, energy work or pregnancy massage, some form of assessment is vital.

This course will enable you to feel confident in the 4 components of clinical orthopaedic assessment:

  • Accurate case history taking
  • Visual observation and assessment
  • Palpation skills: (of soft tissues including muscles, tendons, fascia and ligaments)
  • Special Orthopaedic tests (specific tests that help us to identify problems more precisely)
